Thursday 29th August - bike **** – Around Felixstowe – Sunny and hot.

After yesterdays advednture across the border into deepest Essex we had no plans for today, so did my exercises in the sunny back garden while Mag sorted out her new raised bed. I then packed a picnic and as we haven’t been out on our bike since 29th July we headed out around one heading over to Grove to Gulpher lane leading to Candlet Lane to avoid as much traffic and people as possible! Passing through the little wood by the A 14 leading to Grimston Lane and onto the bench with views down to the River Orwell at Levington. It was lovely and peaceful and we enjoyed another yummy picnic as we watched a buzzard circling towards the clouds! Then back through the tree lined path, stopping to feed the rudd in the little pond:) Coming out at the back of the back of the docks, Mag heads for home past the uniserve warehouse while I continue to Felixstowe dock view point. I cross Landguard Nature Reserve and back a very busy seafront, up Bent Hill and home cycling over 15 miles:)
